Audiophile requires finding all the audio tapes. Use the chapter-by-chapter route below to check the named recordings against your collection. The tape checklist covers the museum, caverns, industrial areas, and final underground camps; story VHS playback and written notes are separate from these audio pickups.
Level Select lets you return for missed collectibles. For cleanup, identify the missing tape by its title, choose its chapter, and follow the nearest landmark below. You do not need to turn the entire return trip into a no-death stuffed-animal run.
Chapter 1 Audio Tapes
Cheryl: Onboarding
In the first large exhibition area after the theater, climb using the dinosaur displays. The route reaches the second dinosaur's head and the suspended metal beam above it. From the upper collectible route, drop toward the boxes at the end of the elevated path. The tape is on those boxes.
This is above the attraction floor, so a search limited to the first room's ground-level desks can miss it. Finish the climb before following the main path onward.
Elena Coolidge: I'm Going to New York
Return to the entrance of the Watering Hole exhibit. Climb the trees on your left near the long-necked dinosaur displays. At the top, swing across two branches. From the second branch, land on the path to the right, turn around, and follow it to the end.
Look behind the wooden box for the tape. The turn after landing is the important detour; continuing forward through the exhibit passes the pickup.

The globe identifies the Watering Hole area; Elena's recording is reached by the nearby upper route.
Dalton Coolidge: The New Site
After the dark tunnel attraction, enter the large area with a control panel missing a button on the left. Go past that panel. Before entering the next exhibit section, look for a workshop entrance on your right.
Follow the workshop to its end and check the boxes. This is a tape detour near the finale-button objective, so keep the recording pickup separate from the replacement part needed for progression.
Stella Banks: Instructions for Willy
When you arrive in the huge Gift Shop area, enter the shop immediately on your right. The tape is on its counter.
Check this counter before becoming absorbed in the office and floodlight objectives. The Gift Shop contains several optional notes, but the counter recording is the audio pickup you want for this checklist.
Chapter 2 Audio Tapes
Dalton Coolidge: The "Propaganda"
From the first open cavern area, use the mining tunnel to the left of the office where the early code is used. On the far side, descend the wooden ramp. At the bottom, look left for the tape.
The ramp is the key location cue. Do not keep climbing toward the room's higher structures before checking its lower end.
DES Site Managers: Inner Circle Discussion
After the Bronto chase, pass through the narrow rock gap and continue into the room with the hanging platform. Use that platform to reach the area with an empty lift shaft in the middle.
The tape is on a box to the right. Check the surrounding platform before committing to the route beyond the shaft.
Crewmen: Campfire Fun
Later in the chapter, find the area with a Paleo Pal ahead and a lit workstation on the right. The story route has you crawl into a hole and come back out. After that sequence, the door beside the Paleo Pal opens.
Go through and look left, beside the blue barrels, for the tape. If you search before the door opens, you are at the right landmark but not yet at the accessible pickup.
Dalton Coolidge: Selling the Fossils
Descend the large lift shaft after the Stella conversation and coded-door section. At the bottom, search the wooden structure on your right.
The tape is inside that structure. Inspect it before concentrating on the fuse and the route up through the building, which can draw your attention away from the lower pickup area.
The Broker: Take Warning
After encountering the Bronto again, follow the stopped conveyor belt and climb the stairs. Enter the building on your left. A note named Willy's message is on a table in the main space.
Continue into the small back room for the tape. The recording is beyond the first obvious document, so finding the note alone does not finish this detour.
Chapter 3 Audio Tapes
Dalton Coolidge: The Quota
Early in the chapter, follow the dinosaur into the next area where Jordan talks with Stella. Cross to the tall building on the other side and search inside.
The tape is in that building. This is also near an amber route outside, but you do not need to collect the amber as a substitute for checking the interior recording.
Crewmen: Birds vs Lizards
Continue until the main route takes you up a ladder. At the top, turn left and follow the conveyor belt to its end.
Crawl through the gap beneath the red light to reach the tape. The pickup lies beyond the low opening rather than beside the ladder itself.
Connor McDonald Locker Recording
After progressing through the first bouncy-goo platforms, reach the equipment area with a dinosaur billboard. Search the lockers on the right.
The tape, Connor McDonald: Is This a Good Idea?, is in a locker in this area. There is also a written memo nearby; check the locker separately so that collecting the note does not make you overlook the audio item.
Jacob Hewitt: I See It
After using dynamite to create an opening in a metal door, continue until you pass through steaming pipes. When you emerge, take the metal stairs upward.
The tape is at the top. Check that landing before following the next large route through the industrial space.
James Cook: A Message Home
Continue through the bouncy-goo route until you wall-run across a hanging wall with red lights. The objective updates to using wall running to progress through the caverns.
In the next area, there is a table with the Substance Field Report: Adhesion note. The tape is at the opposite end of the tables. Search both ends rather than leaving immediately after reading the report.
Mark and Leonard Train Recording
In the area containing the building with the key for a small gate, look toward the train in the tunnel on the left.
The tape, Mark & Leonard: Where does the goo go?, is on a nearby box. The key and Site Phoenix note belong to the building; this recording is another pickup outside by the train.
Crewmen: Worksite Attack
Later, reach the large underground area with a metal structure on your right. Go to the opposite end of the area and find the destroyed building.
Search inside for the tape. This location is across the space from the major climb, so check it before ascending the large metal structure and moving on.
Dalton Coolidge: The Motherlobe
After climbing the metal structure, you reach the area with a slope-shaped building. Go through to the other side of that building.
Find the tape on the table close to the generator. Keep the displayed collection title as your final check if its spelling differs slightly in your game's language; the table and generator are the route landmarks.
Chapter 4 Audio Tapes
Commander Ridgewater: Expedition Setup
In the first tent area, follow the path beneath the yellow light, straight ahead from the direction you entered. The tape is at the end.
This is a short side path within the camp area. Inspect it before following the longer climb out of the early chapter section.
Lt. Maxwell: After Action Report
After the wall-to-wall climbing section with yellow grabbing points, find the small area containing a generator, step-like platforms, and a hole on your right. Go through that hole, then climb left on the far side.
From the area containing the Hybrid survivor note, turn around, climb up, and head left. The tape is beside boxes.
Commander Ridgewater: The Special Light Spectrum
After the next chase, you arrive in another camp. Search the left side for this recording.
A soldier's letter is in the tent to the right. Use that pair of landmarks to make sure you inspect both sides of the camp rather than treating the letter as its only collectible.
Jim & Bob: The Key
In the large area containing many cars and tents, find the tall lift shaft. Drop back to the lower area and continue around the left side of the central gated section.
At the end, go up the ramp on your left. The tape is on a table beneath the covered area. This is above the lower camp route, so include the ramp in your search.
Dr. Fellows: Troop Movement Observations
Enter Cavern B and remain on the bottom path. Follow that lower route all the way to its end.
The tape is on a crate. Check it before starting the climb through the cavern; going upward immediately can bypass the lower pickup.
Tony Marino: Burned Body
Continue through Cavern B until the goo forms tall spires. Stay on the lower level, pass through the middle, and go beyond the right side of those spires.
The tape is on a wooden crate. The route then climbs around the spires, so finish this lower-level search before taking the wall-running ascent.
Dr. Crane: A Request
After the confrontation where Jordan kicks the dinosaur from the cliff, turn around and enter the tent on your left.
The tape is inside, beside the Ground Zero note. This is late in the route, so do not let the relief of finishing the confrontation carry you straight past the tent.
Check Audiophile Separately from Other Collection Goals
After obtaining a missing tape, check the audio collection and achievement state in your game. The achievement condition names audio tapes specifically. Written notes, amber, and story VHS scenes belong to different checks; collecting one category does not resolve a missing entry in another.
Use Level Select for a focused cleanup if a title remains absent. Keep the chapter and the exact named tape together in your notes, because several recordings feature Dalton or crew members. Searching only for a speaker's name can send you to the wrong chapter.
If the collection appears complete but Audiophile does not unlock, record the platform, installed version, and collection state. There is no verified universal reset procedure here. Avoid deleting a save or assuming that replaying a story video will substitute for a missing audio pickup.
