Dilo Dash Flashlight Token

Quick Answer

The Dilo Dash flashlight token is at the end of the elevated pillar route in the exhibit before Dilo Dash. Climb the pillars, reach the top, then look right for the next set of pillars.

The Dilo Dash flashlight token is at the end of the elevated pillar route in the exhibit before Dilo Dash. Climb the pillars, reach the top, then look right for the next set of pillars. Follow them to the token, descend, and head right from the exhibit to redeem it for the flashlight.

This is the later flashlight token in the released game's first chapter. It is separate from the token collected at the employees-only counter to enter the theater near the beginning of the attraction.

Reach the Correct Exhibit from the Security Room

Finish the exhibits gate objective, then leave the security room and head right. The next section involves platforming above an electrified area. Cross from one platform to another without dropping onto the dangerous ground below.

Continue until you reach an alley. Look ahead for the yellow pipes used to cross to the other side. Jump down after the crossing and go straight into the next exhibit. This is the area where you need to look upward for the flashlight token route.

If you have returned to the reception hall or employees-only counter, you are too far back. The theater token is already behind you by this point. Your useful landmarks are the security-room exit, the electrified platforming section, the yellow-pipe crossing, and then the pillar-filled exhibit.

Climb the Pillars and Turn Right at the Top

Use the pillars in the exhibit to gain height. This is a climbing task rather than a search for a coin on the ground beside the dispenser. Work upward until you reach the top of the first route.

At the top, look right. More pillars continue the path. Follow that upper route to its end and collect the token there. The important change of direction happens after the initial climb, so do not descend as soon as you reach the first high platform.

Use the route's platforms and supports to line up each jump. You do not need a later-game wall-running upgrade to solve this Chapter 1 pickup. The climb uses the attraction's existing platforming geometry.

Follow the elevated supports rather than searching only at floor level.

The token is the required pickup for the dispenser. Optional objects above or around the exhibit are separate searches. If you are specifically trying to get the flashlight and continue, confirm that you collected the token before taking an additional detour.

Descend and Redeem the Token

After collecting the token, return to the exhibit floor and head right from the exhibit to the flashlight dispenser. Insert the token at the shutter to obtain the light. You should leave this interaction with the flashlight before entering Dilo Dash's dark route.

The Dennis Paleo Pal statue stands just left of the token shutter. That statue is a useful landmark if you can see the machine but are unsure whether you have found the correct place. Its talk box is a separate interaction; using it does not dispense the flashlight.

Continue Through Dilo Dash with the Flashlight

Once you have the flashlight, proceed through the Dilo Dash experience. The light helps identify the route in the darker attraction. This is also why collecting it before leaving the exhibit is useful: searching for a missing token becomes much less convenient after you are already trying to navigate the dark section.

The flashlight is shaped like a dinosaur toy. Its themed appearance belongs to the attraction, but the practical purpose is illumination. Do not infer an enemy-stunning function, a battery upgrade system, or a combat effect from the toy's shape.

For this pickup, the completion check is simple: you collected the token on the upper route, used it at the dispenser, and obtained the flashlight. A token in your possession without the redeemed light means there is still one step to complete before continuing.

Correct the Most Common Route Mistakes

If the dispenser will not give you the flashlight, first distinguish between seeing the token and collecting it. Return to the end of the upper route if necessary and check the pickup rather than searching the theater for another admission token.

If you cannot find the upper continuation, return to the top of the first pillar climb and look right. Searching only the floor or stopping at the first elevated landing misses the key direction change.

If you are looking at amber on the roof of the token room, keep that optional collectible separate. The amber route and flashlight route share some of the same climbing area, but amber is not the currency used at the dispenser. Finish the token pickup and redemption for the immediate Dilo Dash objective.

No alternate token spawn, universal coordinate, or checkpoint-reset trick is established for this location. Use the exhibit landmarks and the right turn at the top of the climb rather than a guessed replacement location.
